De Medeli SP201+ is eenvoudig te bedienen via het bedieningspaneel op de piano of met de app (PianoToolbox) die gratis is te downloaden in de App Store / Play Store. Daarnaast is via de app tot in het kleinste detail de sound aan te passen en zijn presets te maken en op te slaan.

Omdat de piano ook werkt als audio interface kan middels een USB-kabel eenvoudig muziek worden opgenomen in elke DAW zoals Cubase, Logic of Ableton en de opgenomen audio ook worden afgespeeld op de piano.
