woodbalm for bows, Egid’s best
Balm for precious bows: How to take good care of your bow with Egid’s Best Woodbalm.
We highly recommend Egid’s Best Woodbalm. This high-quality wood balm gently removes rosin dust from your bow. It leaves the surface noticeably fresh and smooth.
How to clean your bow properly: First separate the frog from the bow stick by completely unscrewing the little leg (screw at the end of the bow). Now you can carefully remove the frog. We recommend that you place the leg in a small bowl so that it does not get lost. Hold the stick by the leather or wire wrapping. Let the frog and the hair simply dangle without touching anything. Therefore, the easiest way to clean it is standing up.
Shake Egid’s Best Woodbalm immediately before use. Apply a small amount of Egid’s Best Woodbalm to a cloth and gently rub the bow stick lengthwise with the cloth without applying pressure. At first, a slightly damp, shiny surface will appear. If you have applied too much balm to your cloth and the stick is still too wet, simply rub it with a dry, soft cloth. After cleaning, the bow should be dry with a fine shine and free of rosin dust.
We recommend cleaning after you have played. This allows the surface to dry completely until you use it again. Then attach the frog to the end of the stick again. Carefully insert the leg and turn clockwise until there is no visible gap between the end of the stick and the leg. The bow should not be under tension.
How often should the bow be cleaned? There is no standard answer to this question. As soon as rosin visibly builds up on the stick, it is time again for a gentle cleaning with Egid’s Best Woodbalm.
