For many guitarists, a 6V6 equipped combo is an American classic, mainly thanks to the low wattage that was often produced in the USA in the 50s and mid-60s! The new Koch Ventura amplifier is the first Koch amplifier based on a 6V6 equipped power amplifier. With this new Ventura combo, we’re giving a big wink to the amps from that era we love so much.

First of all, the Koch Ventura is a 1×12″ combo with Baltic Birch Cabinet in a stunning classic two-tone look. Koch uses the original Koch custom vinyl in cream and red for this amplifier. The Ventura is equipped with a specially designed Koch 12 Vg12-60 speaker.
The Koch Ventura is a 2-channel combo with common passive 3-way tone control with bass, midrange and treble control. The Clean channel has a full, clear sound with powerful mids and full bass. The Clean channel has been designed to be very suitable for pedals.
The distortion channel gives you a delightfully thick, saturated sound. You can choose from a powerful, fat distorted blues tone to a solid medium gain rock sound amplification. The 6V6 tubes in the power amplifier produce a very balanced EQ reproduction with a smooth and clear treble range and a powerful bass response.
A spring reverb with a short scale length and a level adjustment on the top is also on board. The serial “buffered” effects loop allows external effects devices to be connected between the preamp and power amplifier sections of the Ventura.

The Ventura has an internal dummy load and a cabinet simulated unbalanced jack output. You can send this direct output to the “front-of-house” or use it in the studio. The Ventura also allows you to play “quietly”, which means you can safely play the amplifier with the internal speaker off. On the rear panel of the amplifier there is an on/off switch of the speaker.
