refret saw, 0.018″ (0,46 mm) blade thickness
Get perfectly clean fret slots for better seated frets and faster fret work, even on bound boards!
Designed by fretting expert Dan Erlewine, these unique saws are made for precision fret work. Each saw has two blades (one cuts on the pull stroke, the other on the push) giving you precise control. The three saws have different blade thicknesses; use them in sequence as needed to loosen packed wood dust and old glue, or to deepen shallow fret slots, even on bound fingerboards.
They’re a better choice for these delicate tasks than a standard fret saw, which won’t work on a bound board and can unnecessarily widen the slots on a radiused board. Each saw is 9-3/4″ (24 cm) overall, with a wooden handle and two 3/8″ (10 mm) blades.
